Healthy
Eating Tips That Will Help You Control, Prevent and Reverse Diabetes.
People
with diabetes generally tend to have a major risk of heart disease, and are at
a greater risk of developing mental disorders like depression, heart disease
and kidney failure. But in most of the cases there have been two types of
diabetes that are considered to be preventable, followed by those that can
actually be reversed. Taking steps to prevent or control diabetes does not mean
that you are living in deprivation or need to go through the insertion process
of the IV
Cannula, but it means of eating tasty and a balanced kind of a diet that
will help in boosting up the energy and your mood.
Reducing
soft drinks, soda and juice: For each and every 12oz serving a sugar sweetened
beverage that you drink in a day will increase the risk of diabetes by around
15 percent. So just try and sparkle water with a twist of lemon or lime being
added to it. Also cut down on the creamers and sweeteners added to your coffee
and tea
.
Do not
replace saturated fat with sugar: Many of us do replace saturated fats with whole
milk dairy and refined carbs, thinking we are making a healthy choice. Lower
fat does not mean that being healthy it means the fat has been replaced by
added sugar.
Add
some healthy fat to your dessert: Fats are generally believed in slowing down
the digestive process, meaning the blood sugar levels do not spike that
quickly. This does not mean that you have to actually cut down on donuts
though. So think about healthy fats like peanut butter, ricotta, cheese, yogurt
and the last but not the least nuts.
Finding
out different ways to satisfy your tooth: Instead of an ice cream try and blend
up on some frozen ice creams and frozen treat. Also try and enjoy a small chunk
of darker chocolate rather than giving a milk chocolate bar.
Reducing
the cravings for sweets: By having the sugar level
being reduced in your diet, try and give a bit time for your taste buds to
adjust along with it.
Hold on
to the bread if you actually wish for a dessert: Having sweets along with a
meal adds to a bit of extra carbohydrates cutting back on the other carb heavy
foods with the same meal.
Eat
sweets with a meal, rather than just a alone snack: When eaten on their own,
sweets can easily increase your blood sugar level at a spike. But when you
actually have them along with other healthy foods or say as part of your meal, then
your blood sugar level will be the same and it your blood sugar won’t rise as
rapidly as it would be through sweets.
